On February 4th, 2023, in Węgrów, the 2nd Corps Museum, together with the historical reenactment group “Konspiracja,” organized a nighttime spectacle to commemorate the 160th anniversary of the “Battle of Węgrów.” The event featured professional lighting, a historical presentation on a big screen, modern market characterizations, logistics, and catering, all amidst snowfall, icy winds, and freezing temperatures. Many costumes and scenic elements were prepared specifically for this occasion. Despite the winter conditions, which were very similar to those 160 years ago, the audience showed up. Much attention was given to the historical presentation of the events, brilliantly narrated by Tomasz Żurawski. The show was preceded by a mini concert by Hubert Bojarski. Local school students, the “Złoty Krzyż” association, and reenactors from all over Poland participated in the spectacle.
