10 years of the Museum
10 Anniversary of the Museum of the 2nd Polish Corps. On 30.06.2020 we were visited by our authorities: the Mayor of Józefów, Mr. Marek Banaszek, and the Otwock County Executive, Mr. Cezary Łukaszewski. The gentlemen watched the new exhibitions and the effects of renovations and investments. Our cooperation has been going extremely well for years. (Mr. Starosta sits on the Council of our Museum) We received occasional thanks, as well as from our Mayor a painting for our museum collection (made by our local painter, politician and activist Paweł Rupniewski) and support in the purchase of additional showcases. Thank you very much our Friends.
Would like to see list of polish soldiers and civilians who joined General W. Anders 8th polish army 2nd corps…after being in gulags ( lumber) and conscripted in Russian army this story matches my father in law’s story even down to him being in Monte casino…and the Bear Wlotek. It would sure be nice to see. Thank you….or maybe guide me to where I can find info. Thanks
